Transfusion :

Transfusion related infections do happen and can happen only if a contaminated blood unit is transfused. This can happen with contaminated patelet concentrates also. Usually Gram-negative bacteria tend to grow in such scenarios as the temperature of 4 deg allows for the growth and enrichment of these bacteria.
